Kenny B Posted December 11, 2012 Author Posted December 11, 2012 (edited) Thanks to all for the wonderful comments. More updates. Big truck needs a big turbo wing. Kenny B. Edited February 4, 2018 by Kenny B
williamchevelleman1972 Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 how did you get the seats pushed up to were it seems like real interior? this is a great build as well!
Kenny B Posted February 1, 2013 Author Posted February 1, 2013 (edited) It's time for some more updated pics. I finished doing the top of the sleeper. It took a bit but I think that I can live with it. I rased the cab roof as well. I'm now currently working on the twin turbos an will post them soon. Thanks for the great comments as well. Kenny B Edited February 4, 2018 by Kenny B
Kenny B Posted February 1, 2013 Author Posted February 1, 2013 (edited) Working on a twin turbo sure proved to be a headache. If you can find any info on a cat 3408 twin turbo your lucky. I did find some info on it and heres what it's going to look like. It looks like I might have made an error in my measurements I cant't close the hood the exhaust pipes out of the turbos are to wide. Back to the drawing board. Kenn B Edited February 4, 2018 by Kenny B
Rob McKee Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 This is just an unreal build Kenny! What did you use for the wood accsents in the dash and doors?
Custom Hearse Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Looks good. This will be a great truck when finished.
Kenny B Posted February 2, 2013 Author Posted February 2, 2013 Rob, The wood inserts are made from a sheet of veneer that I found at Michaels arts and crafts store in Richmond in the model supplies and paints section. I just stained the veneer and put lots of wood clear coat on it. Kenny B
Rob McKee Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Thanks Kenny, I'll have to look for that the next time I am in Michaels. Do you think it may be to big for 1/25th? Truely though, you are a master builder. I was looking at your Camaro and it is equally as nice.
Kenny B Posted February 2, 2013 Author Posted February 2, 2013 Rob, I don't think that it is too big for 1/25 scale. I think that it was birch and it has a real small grain on it. Kenny B
Kenny B Posted March 5, 2013 Author Posted March 5, 2013 (edited) I have a few more up dated pics. Power steering is added twin turbo mock up. Kenny B Edited February 4, 2018 by Kenny B

truckabilly Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Wow, I am totally blown away by that engine. I was also trying to get some info and pics of the twin-turbo 3408. One of my dream models is "Papa Clyde" of the Bill Signs Trucking fleet. I found a few pics of the engine but the turbo set up and the whole tubing is different. Let me know by PM if you want more.
Kenny B Posted March 7, 2013 Author Posted March 7, 2013 Kenny...awesome job..this just gets better and better..are u gonna light it up with some LED's... David, Yes my plan is to use LED's on it but I want them all to be hidden. Kenny B.
Swamp Dog Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 David, Yes my plan is to use LED's on it but I want them all to be hidden. Kenny B. Kenny i got a buddy on another forum that knows the scope on LEDs..he has lit up quite a few..send me a PM and ill hook up with him..
