Nick Winter Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Got this from Pat Redmond as a built up he received in a large collection.stripped the body, then had to sand the body down, the paint that was on it actually etched the plastic. So here it is primed, this will be sort of a tribute to Carrol Shelby. I won't show the paint or disclose that part of it till I'm ready to assemble everything. Before: Currently: Nick

Dirkpitt289 Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 I liked the black with the red hash marks on the fender but I really like this color better.
rmvw guy Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 It looks like a bare aluminum body now to me. I also liked the black with red slash marks. Nice restoration! I love the 289 version of this car.
Bill Eh? Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 That shade of blue is awesome. The build looks really sweet.
GTMust Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Love the blue Nick. Great paint job. What paint did you use? I've got a glue bomb one of these sitting in a plastic baggy..... may have to get it out! Tony
Nick Winter Posted December 16, 2012 Author Posted December 16, 2012 Thanks Guys the paint color is Duplicolor Blue Mist, and it was one of the older smaller cans. Sometimes our second thoughts are better than our first. Nick
