Ben Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 When did van type trailers over 53' become legal???? I thought 53' was still the max length?? It figures, we finally get a model of a 53' trailer and they're already allowing longer units!
signguy2108 Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 (edited) Can't find anything on a 63'. Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Cali., Nevada, and Florida allow 57' singles and 53' doubles, but I think overall length is still 65' single & 75' if doubles(?) Truckpaper did have an add for a 57' Wabash dry box, but it's gone now. Edited December 24, 2012 by signguy2108
kilrathy10 Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 I think there may be a typo on this thread....It looks like a 53'er....I don't think they make 63'ers...
lapazleo Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 looks like a 57 footer for all purposes there are no over all length limits anymore
cappy625 Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 (edited) i noticed on chucky's picture with the blue argosy day cab the fithwheel was slid all the way up almost to the back of the cab. years ago CF used to run through the state of pennslyvania like that, with the fithwheel slid all the way up to get legal lenth with a set of doubles.it got the nickname pennslyvania doubles.some of you old timmers that ran through pa back in the day might remember that. Thatswhatshesaid Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Is it me or do the front of those trailers say 55'?
JamesW Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 I can't zoom in close enough, but it LOOKS like it says 65'.
The70judgeman Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 I can't zoom in close enough, but it LOOKS like it says 65'. I think that's what I'm seeing too...65' Ripley Dedicated. Zoomed the picture in at 400%.
