Luis Ayala Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 A friend (Barbo) gave me this 1/6 "Shine Star" bike kit as a gift about a week ago. It was partially started, but all parts were there, so I decided to take it as a "Labor Day Project". The paint is "Rustoleum Grape", finished with "Boyds Clearcote". I painted it on Friday to let the paint dry enough. It took abot 4 hours to assemble and I had a lot of fun with my kids while putting it together. Is far from perfect but I am really happy with the final product. Hope you like it and thanks for looking.
ismaelg Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Ayala! What a cool project! Are you riding it on the Paseo tablado de Piñones? Very nice! Thanks,
Luis Ayala Posted September 5, 2007 Author Posted September 5, 2007 Ayala! What a cool project! Are you riding it on the Paseo tablado de Piñones? Very nice! Thanks, Thanks Ismael !!!!!!!!!!!!! I am glad you like it!!!! I really had fun with my kids on this one. I was thinking on the "Piñones" thing, but my wife says that it is just an excuse to get some greasy "Alcapurrias & Bacalaitos"
Barbo Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 (edited) WOW.....Papin67........it looks real...........Barbo Edited September 5, 2007 by Barbo
cruz Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 That thing is cool man, I like the way the little wires run around the bike, I think this is what really sets it up to look so real, very nice job considering the amount of time you spent building it bro...............
Peter Lombardo Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 It is kind of a shame that you posted that great build here. It would have been perfect for Harry's "real or model" quiz. Dare I say, it is a very convincing build that would have most guessing "real" and not memorx. Nicely done.
bestfreshman Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Great job Ayala! It looks real, clean and perfect inmy opinion. An a :alcapurria and bacalaitos" its a great excuse to ride bike in piñones....
Captain Obvious Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 That is really cool, I like that a lot!
