Vrschoof
Hello dear fellow builders, well im new to this modelling site but ive been building quite some years, im from the netherlands and ill share this build with you all this will be a big post but this is what happend so far: it was after a long wait once again time for a report to post ... but what was my question because in a small building dip and busy period I could rarely find time to uberhaupt to do something about the hobby. In the choice were some problems .. a) a full closet with unbuilt boxes a model that I want to build c) what it should look like All good there was a choice made during gaming ... during NFS The Run to be exact. The Lamborghini miura! i have found The car has always been quite amazing, but the bodykit that sat in the game spoke very much to my imagination. First pictures of the car in question: they call the kit "jota style package". somewhere there are also influences from the jota, but also of the miura SVJ spyder and miura jota svr. so we simply choose the best of all and processing in the model, which leads to a lot of renovations: - A widening on the rear panels - A front spoiler - Air intakes in the front + rear screens - And the hardest: the rear panel to adjust a type of netting. - Custom decals - Air vents in the rear panels during the building report also pictures of how it should be looking like, because I definitely need help and ideas. So the box out of the closet: and first began to widening behind, it's a subtle change because it is not extremely wide. here what it should be: After watching how it excactly sits: to the ambitious start: as far as the styrene, and delicious mess with milliputty and thus a loooooooooooooot of sanding tomorrow, until the next update and all thanks for reading and responding greetings Vrschoof Edited January 6, 2013 by Vrschoof
Vrschoof
and now on to update 1.0: work on the rear fenders .. I say little because despite the expansion 1/24 really small for renovations and the rooms on the model itself are not really big ... good but a little recap: this should go to: after much deliberation decided to get the inlets to do than the nfs version .. it is right to rechtoe .. therefore chosen for the inlets of the one off lambo miura SVJ Spider: Also this was my idea not the best because it is too angled in relation to the car .. So bottom line .. We have nicely rounded to the curves of the car. already made a start on the front air intakes. and attached the pictures of the 2nd part of the renovation: So this was the beginning three days ago and now after a whole Sunday sanding and swearing .. the results of a hard days work: and thus far the first update of probably many to come haha, Thanks for all the responses so far, and the interest in the project! greetings Vrschoof
Vrschoof
I've been busy but I'm always with bit of luck, but half an hour to build a day isn't much well heres the 2nd update finally! we were here so remained -> the rear air intakes so, here I have some time to think hard about them because now complete again had to cut a container work of vengeance been .. therefore somewhat easy solution was 2 incicies and then the styrene through ... bending does it anyway: and then the pictures of brewing the rear air intakes: this is now only a matter of finishing so that just fine! furthermore started and worked on the interior: here have still some little things to be done but are addressed ASAP and then I'm going to be biggest challenge so far to ... The frontspoiler so if anyone here have golden tips haha i'd be really happy because I can not really completely get how I should go on now Well this was the update again thanks for the comments and tips and all help is welcome 8) greetings and a happy New Year ps: im sorry for the english but google translater isnt that great please bear with me

diymirage
somehow i think the model as it stands look way better than the computer rendition you are going for not really sure how i would do the front spoiler, but i would suggest starting with some carbaord and making a template out of that, that way you can get the shape just right before you start cutting into expensive styrene

ll Brandon ll
For the front spoiler, you could start with a piece of sheet styrene for the basic shape, make the actual spoiler from that, and then fill it in with your choice of filler, sand it to shape it. The work so far looks great.
