fat50 Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Using Model King's Challenger funny car kit and eBay decals. This kit wasn't even close to the 1:1, so rivet counter turn back now LOL But it looks good sitting on the shelf and that all I shoot for.
AZ Boy Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Nice job, Chris! I have the old Fred Cady decals for the earlier version, and it's on my to-do short list. Once again, great build!
Nitro Neil Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Nice, it's on my Bucket List too because of the photo of it on the cover of "We Were The Ramchargers" book.
fat50 Posted January 2, 2013 Author Posted January 2, 2013 Thanks for the kind words guys!! I'm a born and raised Detroiter, so these factory backed race cars hold a special place in my heart.
vintagedragfan Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 I think it looks great, I too am a fan, nice work!
Chris in Berwyn Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 It looks really good. I do wish they had made the wheel wells make more sense and given the car a front bumper (I know the Soapy Sales car did not have a bumper, but still.) Nice job!!
rustybill1960 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 A Great looking build Chris! Clean and sharp! Thank You for sharing Later Russ
6bblbird Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 I hope that you had fun building that car because I had fun checking it out! One of my favorite race cars for many reasons not the least of which is that I was at National Speedway the day that Leroy Goldstein made the first recognized six second pass.
W-409 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 That's very nice build. That Challenger kit is on my "Wanted-list", you have done excellent job with it. I really like how those decals look on it, always been a fan of Ramchargers cars. They just look so good.
