Ron35369 Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 This was a fun build that I did for a friend that has a 1:1 63 Bel Air just like this. The body is from MCW Resins & it's painted in a Honda Tahitian Green. Wheels & tires are from Pegasus. I used the Revell 63 Impala kit for a parts donor. This resin was actually a Biscayne so I had to remove the upper side trim & add the trim pieces around the tail light cove. Hope you enjoy.
Harry P. Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Love the craftsmanship, love the color and paint. Not a fan of the giant wheels. Not on this car at least.
Ron35369 Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 THanks for the comments guys. I thought I'd show you a photo of the real car that I was building the replica of. I'm not a fan of the big wheels either, but they are exactly what is on the real car.
charlie8575 Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Other than those wheels (ICK! 20-inchers belong on pre-WW2 cars and big trucks), I really like this one. Charlie Larkin
surfjunke Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Very nice, clean build. I like it, including the wheels! Like the finish & detail paint as well.
Tonioseven Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 I like it a lot ESPECIALLY the wheels! Lol! That paintjob is awesome!!!
Maindrian Pace Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Super clean build, and quite fortunate that Pegasus made the exact wheels for the replica. That about never happens... -MJS
bbowser Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Very nice replica. There were a lot more Belairs and Biscaynes than Impalas on the street back in the day.
