mikemodeler Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I thought Stanley Steamer was the carpet cleaning company????? Nice one Harry.
mr moto Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I would have never gotten that! It has a strong resemblance to an old Mercedes and I kept trying to go down that path.
CorvairJim Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Darn! I knew it! That big ol' radiator on the front of a steam-powered car was a dead giveaway! Heck, even my old, 1920's vintage house has steam radiators.
Harry P. Posted January 19, 2013 Author Posted January 19, 2013 Darn! I knew it! So where was your answer? Should have PM'd me...
Chillyb1 Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I knew that the only way I would find this one is if I stumbled upon it serendipitously. My knowledge of cars is pretty comprehensive but only back to about the 1940s with some standouts from the 1930s. Before that, it is all guesswork. I figured with this one I'd have an easier time trying to find the house in the background and then reading what it said about the car.
