rockin562 Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 wow man. love the detail. im 30 and have been building since i was 9 and u put way more thought and actually detail into your models. i cant wait to see ur models in a few years. the cuda looks killer!!!!
freakshow12 Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Hey Jason... I am calling the cuda out for a street race lol. Check out my bee. I can't wait to see how you finish out this build
Dragfreak Posted April 14, 2013 Author Posted April 14, 2013 Well I still haven't made any progress on the Cuda as I'm feeling pretty burnt out from it so I'm building a K.S Pittman Willys that I posted over in the drag racing models.
dimebolt Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 I'll be building a 70 Cuda soon Jason, and it'll probably be Testors Purpliscious. I'll be building a 70 Cuda soon Jason, and it'll probably be Testors Purpliscious.
Dragfreak Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 I know its been a while but I did get that drive to get back to work on her now that schools almost out, I saved my money and bought another kit and stole the body out of it and as of now the bodyworks finished and its almost ready for paint. I made a small change with the wheels after I got my hands on a set of convo pros and some new tires. If I go with the racemasters in the back ill sand the lettering off and put a goodyear decal on it. the original body will take a swim in the purple pond when I get around to building the new kit. comments appreciated
Dragfreak Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 One thing I still need to do is get that rear end lowered.
freakshow12 Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 I think it sits just nice. I am going to start a cuda on convo pros pretty quick here too. Gotta get back on the super bee
TFchronos Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 The body work and roll cage looks great. It's good to see you working on it again, looking forward to seeing more.
geordie Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Rollcage looks great, personally for a race car, I prefer the red primer body
Dragfreak Posted June 6, 2013 Author Posted June 6, 2013 Thank you for the comments, much appreciated! ill have an update on it soon!!
Dragfreak Posted June 7, 2013 Author Posted June 7, 2013 Getting some paint on her right now, decals later tonight and hopefully clear and rubbing out tomorrow and Saturday.
Bonekrosha Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 (edited) Very nice build! Edited June 7, 2013 by Bonekrosha
tubbs Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 glad to see you back on this Jason. looking good. your interior work is great!
mk11 Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 One thing I still need to do is get that rear end lowered. I wouldn't be worried about that. You've achieved a rare combination with those wheels, tires and stance. Couldn't be more realistic and appealing. That puddle reflection pic was a cool idea too. mike
Dragfreak Posted June 8, 2013 Author Posted June 8, 2013 Got it decaled and foiled so I just gave it a couple coats of clear. ill give her a few more in a little bit then some pics. I'll mock it up and see how well I managed to lower it as well.
Dragfreak Posted June 9, 2013 Author Posted June 9, 2013 Well got her foiled decaled and cleared so I started rubbing her out. I think the paint came out okay not near as good as anybody elses on the forum comments appreciated, jason
TFchronos Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 That's a perfect paint job in my book. It's super shiny, and purple, great job on it.
epi4561 Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 I looked all over your car for the "not near as good as anyone elses", but I couldn't find it anywhere. Very nice job there.
Dragfreak Posted June 10, 2013 Author Posted June 10, 2013 Thanks I guess I should said that the paint came out pretty good but It doesn't compare to most of the paint jobs that builders turn out on here. Some updates on the engine will be soon, thanks again.
Dragfreak Posted June 10, 2013 Author Posted June 10, 2013 (edited) Heres the other header I finally finished, I may rebuild the other side because theyre not the same looking. and I just realized I need to remove some mold lines on the belts... Edited June 10, 2013 by Dragfreak
Jeremy Jon Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Looks great, the paint job turned out looking very good!
Dragfreak Posted June 12, 2013 Author Posted June 12, 2013 (edited) mocked her up to see how the stance looks, the hood has been stripped and primed and its not warped the interior tub is just pushing it up. This wont be a problem during final assembly. comments/criticism much appreciated, Jason Edited June 12, 2013 by Dragfreak
