Other than the obviuous need for one of the MPC annual Dodge van kits , it would *appear* to be a matter of replicating the paint scheme .

I wonder if Round2 would be interested in remastering / re-releasing a backdated version of the Dodge van , complete with the decals to build the Landy version ...

I was not sure if they used the silver, red, & paint after 72 when it changed on the race cars so I was think it would be early 70s but I have no idea for sure.

That was my first thought exactly : the colour scheme ! Perhaps it's a '70-'72 van ...

And like you've affirmed ; I proposed this as one for you to replicate precisely for the reason you've stated :)

That image is lifted straight out of Hot Rod magazine, from one of their van-centric issues. I want to say it was a '75 or '76 issue, but the van appears to be a '73-'74, based on the Jr. West Coast mirrors which were only available until '75 or so IIRC. It's at least a '71, but it's hard to make out the door handle shape to rule out that year (or an early '72).

It also appears to be a 109" (short wheelbse) Tradesman, too, so the MPC body would need shortening.

The paint scheme would be easy, as the red area lies between the beltline and lower body trim bands, while the blue area falls below the drip rails and above the upper trim. You can even see how the A-pillar paint break falls on the factory joint, too.

If someone decides to draw up and print some decals for this van, I would pitch in for a set.
