rockermikey Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Hi guys. I just finished my 55 Bel Air. I am quite happy with the way it turned out. There are little flaws here and there but that is all part of getting back into shape. It was the 1st time I ever did spark plug wires. I know now for next time the little tricks. Thanks for looking and am open for feedback good or pleasently constructive.
rmvw guy Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Okay you asked for it! It looks great, love the colors you used, spark plug wires look good, just a little more foil or chrome would help. One thing often over looked on a '55 is the trim piece on front fender and door. Also the piece above side window glass on a Bel Air should be chrome. There you go, looks good in all other respects. Love a nice '55.
Ramfins59 Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Yep... beautiful model. I love the color combo.... but it needs a bunch of BMF to really finish it off.
rockermikey Posted February 7, 2013 Author Posted February 7, 2013 Yeah.... I realized that I forgot to do the chrome around the windows. Mind is in another dimension I guess.
slusher Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 A really good looking build. nice color choices and wheels...
Sixties Sam Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Very nice 55! Great color scheme. It looks real in the photos with that backdrop! Sam
rockermikey Posted February 9, 2013 Author Posted February 9, 2013 Thanks guys. The backdrop picture I took over 25 years ago in Alberta on Highway 11 just off the Jasper Highway. Onto the next one! A 1978 Chevy Step Side Shortbox P/U! Mike
charlie8575 Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 I can't get into the wheels, but the rest of it is very, very nice. That photo used for your background is super. Charlie Larkin
