jacobus Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 here is one from about 30 years ago [ must clean everything and dusting ] and in a line set up jacobus
Brinx Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Jacobus, Some really nice vintage rigs you have there...very well done. The Alaskan Hauler (green KW) looks EXACLY like the picture on the box (was anyone else dismayed as a kid that there was NO chrome in the kit?) Funny part is, now....I'm usually stripping off ALL the chrome for my trucks now! The WT 9000 is pretty cool too. overall---nice group there at the ol' truck stop.
bandit1 Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 Nice build and Nice BLUE! saw it on facebook but didnt look real close lol
purepmd Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Here is a Star that I did a few years back. I swapped the Cat in, scratch built the exhaust, tanks, and boxes.
wagonmaster Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I have a delayed WIP Diamond REO that is going to be a Semi pulling truck. Ray, Where did you get the tires on your build??? Tim
Chris guthro Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Any pictures of the dual exhaust wye pipe you made for it? I'm putting duals on mine.
olsbooks Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Wow do you have some shine on that one! Really sharp!
purepmd Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Chris, if you are asking about the exhaust on the black WS, there is not an actual Y-pipe. All the pictures I found on the internet show the exhaust is sent to stacks from a dual exit muffler under the right frame rail. The head pipe comes off the turbo and drops to just below the frame and enters a round muffler on the long end, and from 2 side outlets, goes to the stacks. In this picture, you can see the passenger side exhaust and muffler. The drivers side is a mirror image, with extra length to get to the muffler on the passenger side frame rail.
Chris guthro Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Thanks!! I didn't notice that in the picture! I'm trying to run duals on a 3408 cat in my white western star, but trying to figure it out!
1959scudetto Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 here is one from about 30 years ago [ must clean everything and dusting ] and in a line set up jacobus Great collection, Jacobus - Could be seen at a truckstop around 1980... I especially like the '70s Ford WT9000 Coe (like "Blue Mule from White Line Fever") and the '60s Diamond T Coe - what conversions are these?

ChrisR Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Some very nice trucks. That certainly must give some inspiration. Personally the first one and the wrecker does it.
Modelmikey Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Here is one I did in High school in 2001. In a lot of pieces now after moving a few times.
