Kaleb Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Has anyone used the model master flat black? Both spray, and brush on?
Ramfins59 Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 i use the brush on jar paint. Never had any problems with it. Be sure to keep it well mixed or stirred up for best coverage.
slusher Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 I use model master semi gloss in the jar, and rich is right about keeping it mixed. l like krylon flat black much better the model master spray flat black....
mikemodeler Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 for sprays, I like to buy large cans of black at NAPA. They carry it in lacquer and can get flat, semi, and gloss. Lasts a long time and very economical. Like Rich, I use the jar acryl black paints and make sure I shake and stir them well before using. I like the easy clean up and fast drying properties of those paints.
Kaleb Posted February 18, 2013 Author Posted February 18, 2013 Thank you for the replies. Now I don't get to use my brush paints very often. How should I keep them fresh? I have several acrylics that I never use, just because I can't get them to work like enamels do. I had my favorite semi gloss black at walmart, now they don't carry it. Regular Krylon comes out too watery for me. I will check auto stores out, and buy the model master.
