Scale-Master
Old Provence Moulage resin 1/43rd kit built OOB. I had to make a copy of one of the wheels as it was missing from the kit. Decals were a bit brittle too, requiring some touch up.

IMSANUT
Very nice indeed. I'm working on a 1/24th slot body kit bash of this car. I hope it turns out half as nice!!

caapa
Beautifull built model ! I like Jaguar E-Type racers. Little question: the # 44 on the rear is "mirored". Was the decal wrong ?
Scale-Master
Thanks. It is the correct decal applied correctly. According to a "word of mouth explanation" from Bob Tullius : "In the early days we had to apply our own race numbers, we used 'contact-paper' ( self-adhesive ) but at one particular race meeting we had run out. We ran around and borrowed some from other teams, I sent someone to find some tracing paper and we drew round someone's number 4. The girl who traced it did it the wrong way round on one set, so when the numbers were cut out, they were backwards. We went on to win that race so it sort of became a lucky thing." IMSANUT
All of the Group 44 cars I have ever seen, both in person and in picture had the rear numbers as a mirror image. All were stunningly beautiful race cars.
krazyglu
That look's awesome, I love the car and decal's/color's. How come it alway's seem's like the roll cage's are out of scale on 1/43's? I keep scrolling back up to look at this thing, very nice job as usual.
