Harry P. Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 What's the source of your parts? I've never seen a 1/8 Anglia kit before.
old-hermit Posted September 22, 2007 Author Posted September 22, 2007 (edited) What's the source of your parts? I've never seen a 1/8 Anglia kit before. It's not a kit. The body is a resin copy by Bob Hayes from a George Zurowski master. Resin Keith Black Hemi engine from now defunct "Big Scale Dreams" Everything else is scratch built or parts box. Check the build pics in the link in the first post. Edited September 22, 2007 by old-hermit

old-hermit Posted July 23, 2009 Author Posted July 23, 2009 I was looking at some of my old posts and realised I never put finished pics in this one so here they are. Complete build here http://public.fotki.com/old-hermits-garage...emodels/anglia/
shlajh02 Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 One of the best 1:8 scale models I have ever seen, outstanding work!
Casey Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Did you shorten the body to fit a particular chassis or is that how you got the body?
old-hermit Posted October 25, 2009 Author Posted October 25, 2009 Did you shorten the body to fit a particular chassis or is that how you got the body? That's how I got the body Casey. I scratch built the frame to fit. Anglias are tiny cars in real life with only a 90 inch wheel base and 152 overall. http://public.fotki.com/old-hermits-garage...emodels/anglia/

I had two of the Revell bodies in my collection for a few years and was planning to build a fenderless street version, but the odd proportions of the above model caught my eye. I wasn't sure if that was done intentionally on the model or not.
