marcarm Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Finished this one today, nice kit to build with no fitting issues at all. Still a novice at this but if you look at the first model I built compared to this there's a world of difference.
Monty Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Mark, can we assume this is the Tamiya kit? I have yet to build one of their kits, but they seem to be very well engineered. Based on what I see here, I think your novice status will soon be a thing of the past.
Chuck Most Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Looks quite a bit better than the AMT/Ertl kit. I think you did a great job on this.
marcarm Posted March 1, 2013 Author Posted March 1, 2013 Thanks, it is the Tamiya kit. This is the 6th tamiya car kit I've built, after 3 revell cars and the build quality is so much better in the tamiyas. The level of detail is a lot better as well, and they just seem to fit a lot better together as well. Wouldn't go back to revell now, especially as a novice you get better results.
Dominik Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Nice looking Jaguar! One kit, i'm missing in my shelf. Looks very clean. Wouldn't go back to revell now, especially as a novice you get better results. Not at all Mark. Some new Revell Kits are that detailed like Tamiya too. The old Revells are bad, i agree.
Deathgoblin Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 This looks really nice. Excellent work. Looks quite a bit better than the AMT/Ertl kit. I think you did a great job on this. I don't know. I've got one of the AMT ones on my bench. It's a pretty nice kit, once you get into it. I hope I can do it justice.
captjeffro26 Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Nice job. Keep it up. I wouldn't mind on of these myself.
jeffs396 Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Nicely done! I guess I should NOT have passed on a sealed one for $20 at the show this weekend, huh?
Gluhead Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Never really gave this car much of a glance, but that looks pretty good to me. Keep it up!
