gautreau Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Thats going to be an awesome color combination Mike.
martinfan5 Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 This is a great kit, you will have no problems building it, I cant wait to build a few more
MikeyB08 Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Love the color! Thinking of getting me one in the near future. Can I ask where you got the CF from?
mademan Posted March 3, 2013 Author Posted March 3, 2013 Carbon fiber decal came from scale motorsports on ebay
kelson Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Looks good so far,but i can't believe all the snow on the ground still in the background!
mademan Posted March 3, 2013 Author Posted March 3, 2013 Its been melting fr days too.... there was over 3.5 feet of snow on the nova a week ago
mademan Posted March 4, 2013 Author Posted March 4, 2013 got some more done in my spare time today, Im really liking the direction this one is going! detailing up a bit of the etch set etch grill and emblem installed rear "diffuser" in place
mademan Posted March 4, 2013 Author Posted March 4, 2013 did the carpet for the trunk and interior pan, using a mixture of black and grey flocking, I also used a flat clear on the seats
freakshow12 Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 this looks really good Mike. thought you only built caddys though lol
mademan Posted March 4, 2013 Author Posted March 4, 2013 I've expanded my building a bit lately. Been on an import kick lol.
mademan Posted March 5, 2013 Author Posted March 5, 2013 quick mock up. Body has no clear, bumpers have been cleared.
LacrosseBoss Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 great start. The photo-etching really brings this to the next level. Also, I love the carpeting. Nicely done.
jsc Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Great job so far! I really liked that you mixed your own flocking. Much more realistic in my opinion
Deathgoblin Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Looking at this build has just sold me on one of these kits. Excellent work.
mademan Posted March 7, 2013 Author Posted March 7, 2013 Thanks for all the comments guys. I Finished up the bumpers for the 86, I had to cut/trim the fog light bezels to accomodate the etch grills that I painted black. I think I may go back and blackout the outer trim of the bezels though.
scalemodelworld Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Looking awesome. Love the colour, the etched parts and the carpet
mademan Posted March 9, 2013 Author Posted March 9, 2013 I decided against the Cabon fiber hood/roof/trunk... mostly because I want to have this done for a show in less than a month and I cannot get any microsol locally, so id have to order it and wait, and I work away from home 2 weeks, and home 2 weeks, so I wouldnt have time. I went and painted the hood and trunk green to match, and added the metal transfers to the trunk lid.
mademan Posted March 10, 2013 Author Posted March 10, 2013 Im thinking of using these Aoshima Volk TE-37s.... not sure yet, I do like the look of them with the green.
