Quite a few years ago I took some stuff into a club auction to get RID of it. A good friend of mine, since has passed on, came up to me after the auction. He put his arm around my shoulders and asked me "You know how your always daring people to do crazy s$@%?" I said "Yes". He came back saying "I got a dare for you, do something with this" I said "I would do something with it". I took it and dropped it on the floor and stomped on the box. He told me that I still had to do something with it. I opened the box and all it did was snapped the front fenders off the body. SO, armed with that and a monthe later he came back to the club and saw this sitting there in primer. He said "I'll never dare you to do a eff%$@ thing again". We had a good laugh, and a few years later he passed away. His wife and I got to talking at his service and this story came up. She looked at me and said Bon has had a photo of that same van under the glass on his desk for five years!!! I was floored.

God Bless ya Bob Urry!!!

This started out as a 1978 Ford Econoline van.

Van is chopped, pie wedged down the center to pinch body into top fuel body section, stretched. Nitro Fish cut outs are from a brochure and took me 7 hours to cut them out with an Xacto and scissors.
