Ford guy
I won these off of eBay last week and decided to go Pro Street with one of them, something I've wanted to do since the '80's. I chose to use the AMT Pro Street '66 Nova kit because it's the closest in size to the Vega. I had to trim the sides back to fit. I glued the sides onto opposite sides and cut off the excess. The Nova chassis is 1/2 inch too long, so I cut that down too. It fits. Now I need to think about what to do next. Roy

Guest
I've been after a '73 Vega for years and you score two of them!? I always have and always will love pro streets! If you would want your Vega to set down nice and low, find one of either the Revell pro street Berettas, Corvettes or J-2000s. I've used the T-Bird chassis' under three different models. The other chassis' I mentioned are just as nice.

Ford guy
Chris, yes the Nova was molded in white. I've had it quite a while, I think it's a '90's issue. I've unfortunately never had the opportunity to purchase any of the kits you've mentioned plowboy, so I just used what I had. I've been messaging the wheel tubs to make the chassis sit lower. I like'em low too. Thanks for the kind words guys, I'll post some more pictures later this week. Roy

I've put that Nova back half under three different models and wasn't really satisfied with the rear height on them. I should have modified the tubs like you're doing, but I lazied out. I'll keep that in mind the next time I do one!
Dragfreak
Will be watching!! the '71-'73 are best looking years of the vegas imo
Ford guy
I've done a little bit more, like adjusting the chassis to fit lower, and getting rid of those battery boxes? and squaring up the back half. I lost the upper control arms and had to search my parts box, good thing I never throw anything away! Then I had to shower the body in Easy Off. (picture ain't great, sorry) I'll post more this weekend hopefully. Thank-you all for watching and for the nice comments. Roy
