BigBad Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Name that truck... Some people are going to cringe.. Slightly, but it had to come to this someday.
signguy2108 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Kenworth T880 vocational. Not a bad looking truck.
BigBad Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 It looks photoshoped.Fortunately these pictures aren't bogus. These are from the Kenworth website. Kenworth T880 vocational. Not a bad looking truck.Right on the nose! Notice the brand new cab, different from all others including the W900.
signguy2108 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 They do look photoshopped, but according to the press release from Kenworth, are supposed to be available mid summer.
txdieseldog Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 That's one heck of a good photoshop!!!! You can see the trees and the logs through the window of that logger.
Guest Johnny Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Did they wash the tread section of the tires before shooting the picture on the one in the quarry? Sure are clean for having just rolled over a road mix covered road.
txdieseldog Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Oh I'm sure it's photoshopped, but coming from the manufact. the art dept. probably has the strictest of rules on how to present it.
Chuck Most Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 We can all at least be glad that Paccar isn't designing one 'generic' cab/hood and slapping Pete or KW badges on it where appropriate. Brand loyalty still must mean something to those guys. Anyway- I like it. I'd love to see more subjects like this in kit form- maybe not this truck in particular, but more late model vocational trucks.
signguy2108 Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Got a new issue of Overdrive today, page 96, says the T880's little brother, the T680, with 76" sleeper and paccar mx engine was named truck ofthe year for 2013 by the American Truck Dealers.
