I love this thing! Beautifully executed. Surrealistic and realistic at the same time. Colors look very authentic for the late '50s/early '60s, and I like the fact that while it looks nearly new it's rusting out already. The boxy, appliance-like exterior play nicely against that simple, yet stylish dashboard.

I love watching the Finns make fun of the Russians. Not too far from where I live, in the Fitchburg/Ashby/Gardner area, used to be the largest settlement of Finns in the U.S., and where I went to college in Fitchburg, I made a lot of friends who are of Finnish descent. Especially listening to the older people take digs at the Russians and Swedes reminded me of the Armenians on my mother's side of the family needling the Turks.

Very nice model, and great job assembling that.

Kippis!

Eero, what a fantastic build! True craftsmanship! The car reminds me of the "cartoon cars" in the Michelin Tire ads over her in the states.

Very true. My mom is from Lappeenranta and my grandfather fought against the Russians in WWII. My grandparents were not fond of Russia.

I wish I could read the comic this car is based on.
