  1. I'm trying this concept on one of my builds right now. I must admit yours is impressive. I hope mine turns out half as good as yours.
  2. With paint..... Next I'll be focusing on the body. Since I can't paint inside, my wife is very sensitive to the fumes, i have to rely on the weather cooperating, which doesn't happen often in Iowa this time of year. Since I don't need a shiny finish hopefully this won't take long. Updates to come....
  3. Update: Life has kept me busy, but i do have some progress. I wanted to put bomber style seats in my truck due to it being a flying truck/hotrod. Here is a mockup.
  4. I got this from a friend for my 40th wedding anniversary. Not a subject I would have picked, but let's go with it anyway. I've always wanted to build a flying/hover car. So here goes. I've collected some misc parts for years for a project like this. This is a beginning mock up.
  5. I'd be embarrassed to claim that butt ugly piece of BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH.
  6. That is really well done.
  7. Yordan, Thanks for the tips. I user a light Grey wash on my diorama. I thought the doors didnt look right. So i added a wash of White and it toned the doors down. I am still working on more washes. Not sure where to go next. Tours looks really good. Ive round on u tube a series of video Valles Boulder Creek Railroad lots of good Ideal there.
  8. I tried a wash on the building. I've never done this before so i really dont know what I'm doing. Let me know what you think. I'm always open to suggestions as well. Thanks for looking.
  9. Greg Thanks for the tip. Where the crack appears to stop is where the island for the pumps go. Here is a pic to show what i mean.
  10. I do plan on dirt, grime, and oil spots. I have a long way to go yet. Like everything else with this project, it will develop a life of its own.
  11. How about a pic with that....
  12. Started doing some detail to the base. Cracks in the concrete have been installed. Comments are welcome. Feel free to pick it apart. I need honest comments to be able to improve.
  13. Thanks for the tips. Going to have to try that Tamiya putty. My biggest issue is smell. My hobby room is right off our kitchen so smell is an issue.
  14. I was using some spot filler on a project today. The smell is bothering my wife , and frankly this stuff stinks. Since the high outside was 12 and the low -7 I can't ta me it outside. Any suggestions for a alternative that doesn't have any fumes. Thanks for your help.
  15. Really cool. I've done some HO scale vehicles myself. They are a challenge and alot of fun. Lots of subjects not found in lsrger scales.
