martinfan5 Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 Well with the few GT3 and road race builds going on here, I figured I would start one as well. Its one of the new release's from Fujimi, its the Merc SLS AMG GT3 race car, there are two verison of the kit, and the one I bought is a non livery version, I am pretty sure the paint will be silver of some sorts, this kit does come with a basic P/E set . And the P/E set Started working on the brakes And front and rear suspension attached to the chassis
PowerPlant Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 Very Interesting project. I wonder whether this kit bashes well with the Revell SLS?
martinfan5 Posted March 28, 2013 Author Posted March 28, 2013 Very Interesting project. I wonder whether this kit bashes well with the Revell SLS? I was thinking that myself, and I dont see why not, both are 1/24th scale, so it might work Up first is the completed I think for the most part chassis, I am going to do the wheels in Alclad I think, or maybe something a little bit darker And starting on the interior tube, what a pain to mask and paint, I did black first, then the aluminum, I think I should of done vise versa And how about some color, Tamyia TS-17 And I need to attach the P/E screens to them before I can attach them to body
iderek Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 definitely watching this!! and i just noticed that the FUJIMI GT3 kits have almost the same chassis lol I'm still working on my Z4 GT3
martinfan5 Posted April 2, 2013 Author Posted April 2, 2013 I forogot that I have not updated this build for a little while Getting the interior done Windows in place Front and rear lights in place
scalemodelworld Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Not the kind of car I usually go in for, but this is looking great. The paint job looks flawless
slusher Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 A nice looking paint finish. Did you prime the body? it looks great...
