This mine, I built it a couple of years ago. The only things I did to mine was to upgrade the tires to the new AMT parts pack whitewall set and add a blue tint to the windshield. Nice older kit.

I'm convinced that the two halves of the engine block/tranny were designed by different people. I spent a lot of time with my files trying to get them to even line up correctly. This kit doesn't offer much in the way of detail, so you'll have to do like Al did (above post) and make the most of what's there.

David, I always use one light pass of Tamiya Clear Blue on all my windows. I thinks it give the models that little extra.

For the headlights that are molded in, I put a drop of Elmers glue or any white glue on each light and let it dry. It makes a nice lense look when it dries.

The color is dark blue metallic. It's a match for two original Ford colors, Nocturne Caspian Blue and Classic Blue

There isn't anything fundamentally wrong with the interior- it just lacks some of the finer details newer kits might have. It's still pretty workable with a bit of detail painting.

Tulio, where did you source the paint? I'd like to spray mint Nocturne as well.

I prefer replica stock builds the majority of the time, but I keep hoping Steve Millberry will see this and pop in. If memory serves, he's got one or two old Lincolns of this vintage (+/- a year or so) and they may give you some ideas for creating a very tasteful custom, if you decide to go that way.

Nice builds guys.

I used the wagon roof (which brings a whole heap of new issues), the custom front end added AMT baby moons & some ICE.

Sun visor hides the shonky roof/screen join.

I used automotive paint, mixed at a auto paint store. When I built this one I still used spray can clear, the most part from Tamiya, but the best result come with the use of automotive two part clear as well.

Built in the early nineties without the internet for reference. I don't remember it being difficult. Also, one of the first cars I foiled.

Sorry Dave, it's been 20+ years and I can't remember. I know I was starting to use automotive paints, so it might be anything.

I loved it!!

You won't believe, but the color looks close to the factory Fiesta Rangoon Red, a original '65 Lincoln color.
