ABC Auto Industry
It turns out that they're reissuing the AMT Mack Cruise-Liner cabover, but there's no release date yet. lizardlust
Given the current state of affairs at RC2 I am not gonna hold my breath just yet, but it certainly would be welcomed. If this reissue comes to be, I imagine it will burst a few bubbles on collector prices as well!! Thank you for passing the info along, Dylan!! ultraliner13
Mack Cruiseliner being re- released? If thats true I'll buy 2 for starters. Must not get to excited might be hoping for too much. John Wilson
mackinac359
Sources tell me that the tooling for the Cruiseliner is in the process of being repaired so that the kit is viable. Remember several years ago it was targetted for reissue but test shots proved the tooling was damaged. (The Peterbilt 352 was issued instead, much to my delight). There are a few others that are being investigated for '08 reissues. Tim
rottin1
I've bid on a couple of these on eBay, and not to my surprise they go for way more than I want to pay. I want to stretch one out, put a big bumper on it. These are nice looking kits when done. You really don't see too many of them. I definetly buy one if they come out. crashalot2
Really? Well, I hope they consider re-issuing the Kenworth Alaskan Hauler. I read in a model mag that the Kenworth tooling was reworked to make the T600 , and there would be no more KW conventionals.
Jim B
I heard that, too. I think I heard it here from Tim, but I cannot remember. I don't know if that applies to all KW conventionals or just the W-925 & not the Alaska Hauler. Maybe they should make new molds. Like that's going to happen! ABC Auto Industry
I heard some further news saying that this kit will be re-issued in April of 2008 (yeah, more like June or July, given the way the model kit industry works). Get your pre-orders ready!
chuckyr
How about a Vision, I'm kind of tired of reissues. This is 2007
ABC Auto Industry
It's being released by Stevens International, not AMT itself so it will go through. They never stopped doing the special runs and I understand regular kit production has resumed ,, just no new stuff being released. Yeah, I got an Autocar A64B todoy (YAY! ), and the box art was a carbon copy of the original kit except for the "Stevens International" logo under the AMT logo. Jim B
Chuck, Rumor Control has it that someone is making a resin conversion of the Granite. Don't know who or when; but that's what I heard.
sourkraut
I will have the Granite when it is finished (probably late winter). e-mail or p.m. me to get on the list (no deposit required), as I am not in control of production or casting. Jim B
How close are the Granite, Vision & Legacy cabs? Can your Granite cab be used for these other trucks?
chuckyr
I read somewhere that Timothy Sherman is planning to offer a Granite resin kit, but if you are in to 1/87th scale (HO) then Masterbilt offers a great Granite resin. Model made by New Jersey modeler, Joe Enriquez!
