Tommy May Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Ricky was a good friend of mine and we spoke several times about these builds as they were going together. Thanks for the help from Tim Kustom, I was very lucky to have these temporally in my possession to photo and post for you guys.
lonewolf Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Those vettes are the coolest I've ever seen. I never heard of Ricky Couch myself, but it looks like the modelling community lost a very talented builder.
ajulia Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 jus wanted to say those vette's show a great deal of fabrication most importantly he still lives on every time people see his work. i did not know him however had to been a great car enthu. hope to see more work thanx for showing
Modelmartin Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 I think Ricky became more of an artist whose medium was model cars as time went by and these Corvettes show that. He was a great talent.
Lyle Willits Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Tommy, you should send those pics to the Ricky Couch website (if you haven't already). The website is http://www.rickycouch.com/
Tommy May Posted October 6, 2007 Author Posted October 6, 2007 http://www.rickycouch.com/ Thanks Lyle... I sent several that I have of Ricky and his builds.
robertw Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 While I'd never build a Corvette this radical I can certainly appreciate the amount of work that went into these models. robw
OldNYJim Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 I found these by mistake whilst looking for something else, and would love to see more of Ricky's work. Does anyone have any other pics of his builds saved? I remember his 'Moo Truck' was one, and SA did a feature on him sometime back in the dark and distant past...

OldNYJim Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Awesome! Thanks Mark!! Those are both really cool!
unclescott58 Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Not my style. But, I can appreciate the work that went into them. From that perspective, very nice models, indeed.
