JerseeJerry55
To all, Hello. I am in the midst of deciding on a few things for my build of the AMT IH 4300 reissue. I am most likely going to build a day cab version of this tractor so here are my questions: Most freight company trucks I have seen on the internet featured single stack tractors. That being said if I base my model off of a freight company tractor how easy is it to cut down the tubing to make it a single stack? I have chosen a Testors Royal Blue paint fpr the cab. Is anyone aware of which trucking companies featured their tractors in a Royal Blue? How easy is it to create your own decals? If anyone can help it would be most appreciated. Thank you. CDA
I built that truck years ago when I was 12. If I'm not to eat up with CRS, I believe it is made to where the single stack version can be made. Little sanding and filling is all you need to do. Have never tried decals, and as far as colors, hopefully soe of those here who have been around trucking since its heyday can help you out!! 37 caddy
Jerry, take a look over at Hanks Truck Pictures, you will surely find something there in a royal blue. Also dont forget to check out the forum there,it has a section for models too.
