Ben Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 On the left is a 379 Peterbilt and on the right is an old International Loadstar. They have both been customized but the Loadstar much more than the Peterbilt!
Bigfordguy Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 (edited) Yea that International truck was built by a guy in Ontario Canada. The guy is very talented I watched the build but only seen the truck once in person. The guy also had a chevrolet cavalier and put a Northstar V8 out of a Cadallac in it Sorry kind of off topic to your original question Edited April 6, 2013 by Bigfordguy
CDA Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 The yellow one is an old IH Loadstar. Didn't look like that when it was new. It wasn't offered as a kit. Maybe one of these resin Guru's can help you out if you are in the market. The Pete, like was stated earlier, you can pick up at most hobby storesGonna have to do some fabricating to make it look like the picture
mistermodel Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Ben is correct pete 379 and loadstar.no kits available in 1/24 or 1/25
c-man405 Posted April 6, 2013 Author Posted April 6, 2013 thanks for the information everyone! that is very very helpful! carter
mikemodeler Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 I thought I saw a resin version of that Loadstar somewhere before. I will have to check and see as I always liked that truck.
Jim B Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 (edited) I don't know about a Loadstar, but AITM has a Fleetstar: http://www.aitruckmodels.com/pages/ck43inter2070a.html As for the 379, GW Trucks offers a nice hod conversion for the Italeri Peterbilt 378 in 1/24 scale, and P&P Resin offers (or did) a 1/25 379 cab kit. AzTom Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 (edited) Ertl Made the Loadstar in 1/16 diecast. Edited October 10, 2015 by AzTom
jeffs396 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 I'm working on a Loadstar conversion in 1/25th. DAVE!!! Any word on the Loadstar??? I didn't see anything on your site...
disabled modeler Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Just for the information...cargostar makes some really nice stuff guys.
Petetrucker07 Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 That Pete belongs to Vinnie Diorio. It has many, many mods done to it. P&P only has a 389 conversion.
cargostar Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Heres where the Loadstars are at the moment. The grill is done for the "bat-wing" hood, as well as bumper and running boards. Working on the dash board at the moment.
disabled modeler Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 I am digging that Dave...very cool...
