Porscheman Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 This is a 1:43 resin kit made by Tron. Very detailed kit but I had to make my own fender skirts. Fun build on a hard to find kit. Al
Duntov Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 This is nice... A lot of folks do not realize that it was the '49 olds that actually was the debut car for the Rocket 88 V-8 engine that so many drag racers and track racers coveted in those days.... just a few minor cosmetic differences between the 49 and 50.. split windscreen being just one.... Good work!! Regards Bill (Duntov)
The Modeling Hermit Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 You did a very nice job, and the detail is amazing for such a small scale.
charlie8575 Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I like that. Wonder how tough it would be to add the split windsheild to the Revel '50? Charlie Larkin
W-Machine Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 That looks great! Your Oldsmobile has my "Seal of Approval"!
Duntov Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 I like that. Wonder how tough it would be to add the split windsheild to the Revel '50? Charlie Larkin I think pretty easy to add the split..... to make it a '49....(some VERY EARLY 50's were reputed to have that feature as well but I don't know for sure)... the main issue will be the difference in the tail lamp spears.... and mud splash.... the spears were different if I recall but would need to be researched for accuracy.... most everything else is pretty close....
