Raskoraz Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 I use Tamiya primer and colours. I think they are great, however, I think they are still a little pricey for the quantity. Are there any other brands that are good with the Tamiya primer such as Krylon? I am in Canada, so my option may be limited.
Deathgoblin Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 I've used duplicolor and Testor's both. Testor's lacquers work really well, and Duplicolor is a great value since it's typically in larger cans.
Raskoraz Posted April 13, 2013 Author Posted April 13, 2013 Can I use Tamiya primer with Duplicolor? And are the Testors lacquers mixed with primer, or do I need to apply a separate coat?
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 ...... And are the Testors lacquers mixed with primer, or do I need to apply a separate coat? Mixed with primer? Huh??
slusher Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I have used Tamiya primer with Duplicolor paint. Tamiya is the best primer in my opinion but you can always use Duplicolor primer also.
my80malibu Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I think the flat grey is mixed with primer Can I use Tamiya primer with Duplicolor? And are the Testors lacquers mixed with primer, or do I need to apply a separate coat?
