Thanks for the kind comments. Chuck, that's the engine I used to make the 4. I cut out the #1 and #5 cylinders to preserve the motor mounts.

Lee, it's not only nice to see something so pedestrian- and this is as pedestrian as it gets, but to see it receive the attention it deserves. This is coming out beautifully.

Rubber mat- what did you use, vinyl top material?

I think I'm going to try that trick for my '57 Ford and Chevy.

Were both clears the same type of paint (i.e., both eamel, lacquer, acrylic), or did you mix-n-match?
