Porscheman Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Before I got back into building model cars again. I bought a lot of high diecast and this is one of my favorites.Made from more than eleven hundred separate pieces.Materials used include leather, copper, brass, steel, zamac, and cloth.Hand-spoked Borrani wheels with stunning detail.Opening trunk, doors, hood, and gas door.Working front coil and rear leaf spring suspension.Knock off wheels.Fully-plumbed disc brakes.Incredibly detailed undercarriage.Copper and steel wire underneath, rivited into place with metal, perfectly replicate the connections to the brakes, emergency brake, transmission, and rear. The stamped-copper hood opens on a friction strut. The detail of the V-12 Ferrari engine under the hood is simply amazing. The interior reveals more incredible detail. With real leather seats and door panels, all hand-stitched.I wish I could build them like this.Al
cobraman Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Very, very nice. Love that interior and the wheels, man they are nice.
george 53 Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Looking at the size of the pavers, I'd say it's 1/18 th scale? It's VERY nice. Those CMC models are the Cat's patoot!
