gwolf Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 All the sudden I'm in need of various wheelbacks for 1/25 scale cars. I got plenty of rims, but no wheelbacks. Anybody buy them or make their own? Thanks!
1930fordpickup Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Check in the resin section for THE MODELHAUS sells them. www.modelhaus.com
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 You can often find bags of them on ebay...sometimes mixed in with lots of other parts. Cheap. Sometimes sold as sets for reasonable money....http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pontiac-GTO-1964-4-Inner-Wheels-Revell-1-25-/360585230207?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item53f48df77f Also easy enough to make them from the right diameter styrene tube and flat stock. How many you need, and what diameter? I've usually got more backs than wheels.
Draggon Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Scenes Unlimited has a great selection. Good service and a top notch product too! http://www.scenesunltd.com/WHEELS.html
Eshaver Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 I remember Time Machine doing some of the older AMT Wheelbacks . However , I'm also aware of some scuttlebutt concerning long delivery times from this company now too. Yes, Model haus should be able to help too............
gwolf Posted April 19, 2013 Author Posted April 19, 2013 Thanks everyone! For the moment I just need them for the '32 I'm working on, but will likely need more later.
gwolf Posted April 19, 2013 Author Posted April 19, 2013 Draggon, Scenes Unlimited has just what I need. Thanks!
