mnwildpunk Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 So awhile back at the time my I got my girlfriend's son a snap tite revell 70 chevelle. He worked on it and did a great job I don't want to change a thing. but since it is not painted a little bit of dust and finger prints from him showing all his friends it is lacking the luster it once had. I was wondering if there was anything i can do to improve it's shine? I know it's colored plastic but could polishing it help? thanks for the ideas guys
Cato Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 The simplest effective way to remove the schmutz is to use 1:1 spray detailer with a microfiber cloth. Hurts nothing, leaves a smooth clean surface.
LoneWolf15 Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Novus 2 will remove all the garbage and polish out the plastic at the same time . Just add a coat of polish to it afterward the preserve the shine and protect the finish .

Draggon Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 This product is the "ultra" answer. Ultra-Restore by Innovative Hobby. Used by slot car guys. I polished part of an original AMT 40 ford, and believe me, it looks fantastic. Works on paint too. I'm sold on it. http://stores.ebay.com/Innovative-Hobby-Supply/Slot-Car-Model-Restore-Items-/_i.html?_fsub=446116719&_sid=356520459&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322
