Are the 2 releases of the Revell/Monogram 70' Torino the same kit? The early release is a yellow car, the 2nd is the red car.

I believe the 1st release(pro Modeler) has a higher parts count,

due to to more photoetch. I also believe they represent different

versions of the car. Seems like I remember two different hoods

in the kits

More when I can locate them in the archives

(the big closet stuffed with kits)

IIRC, the red car had hidden headlights (I have the kit but not in front of me.........buried somewhere), and the yellow car had exposed headlights. I think there were model name differences, but I don't remember what right now. <_<

there are actually 3 releases of this kit...

release 1 is the pro-modeler GT version with flat hood and hidden headlamps, orange or red on box with pro-modeler label on box.

release 2 is the yellow car on box, it is the cobra version with shaker hood and scoop, and non hidden lamps

release 3 is the current one with red car on box, same as cobra version release 2

btw. when kit was changed from gt to cobra, revell needed to remove the side louvers from the quarter panels but didnt, so they will need to be sanded off the be correct for a cobra version.
