The Tasca Ford version was the first "re-birth of Revell" kit I purchased, and I remember being very impressed with it. Everything about it was so much better than previous Revell kits I had purchased, it felt like it was from an entirely different company.

We think alike,

Up until the T bolts arrival I rarely bought anything Revell made ( bad memories of the over complicated opening doors and such from Revell kits as a kid )

I probably have close to a dozen of them between the Tasca Ford and Gas Ronda cars.

Not really , I remember as a kid trying to get the opening doors to work on some revell street rod kit and made such a mess I finally just glued them all shut. Same deal when tried to do a SWC willys many years back . After a few attempts back then ( all ended up in the crash and burn pile in the ft yard ) I refused to buy anything Revell made if it was a kit that had working doors or decklids

AMT or MPC kits were so much easier to work with ,,,,,,,, I don't remember having much Johan stuff till much later in life,,,,now I have a bunch .

Around 1989-1990 is when I really started liking Revell kits...the Cougar, T-Bird, Grand Prix 'annuals', the '69 Camaro, Thunderbolt, etc. Previous to that I'd built a few that I found unsatisfactory (79/80 Mustangs, '56 Chevy 2dr sedan).

and the one in "PINK" plastic ? $T2eC16VHJGoE9nuQfepFBREv4-4jzw~~60_35.J

A later release of that kit ('Bad Dream', molded in green plastic) was my first 1/25th glue kit...

My all-time favorite box art and the most inspirational (for me) to build. I actually completed one of these when I was about 10 or 11; I had built the "Hot Rod" issue about 25 years ago and still have another "Hot Rod" kit (three kits in one box) in my stash, already built in my head. But the original issue box art really got my attention.

Isn't it amazing, how the threads evolve from one topic to another? I think it's pretty cool. Thanks for the info regarding the T'bolt kit and let's keep the thread running to see where it goes.
