charlie8575 Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I'm very sorry to hear of this, Terry. Although we've only actually been able to meet once, I consider you a friend and it troubles me when I hear of such things. We're all thinking of you. On behalf of myself and MassCar- get well soon! Terry Sumner Posted May 16, 2013 Author Posted May 16, 2013 Update.... Done with my initial 2 hour! visit with the Oncologist.... Not such good news I guess. Cancer is aggressive... Staged at T2C (High Risk). Going to have to have a shot of a hormone blocker every 4 weeks in addition to the one I take once a day. Getting a port surgically installed to get the chemo infused intravenously. At least six cycles of chemo...one every 21 days for 6 cycles. Then surgery to remove it... Testosterone blocking for 2-3 years... BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH.. Oh well...have to be pragmatic about this and just do it. Having zero testosterone is going to make workouts a lot tougher he said..... And just when I was getting into good shape! 50-50 on whether or not I'll lose my hair... Maybe when it comes back it'll come in darker??? One can hope...
Danno Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 God be with you, Terry. You have friends and family here. Let us know what and when you need. My prayers and I are with you.
cruz Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 I will keep you in my prayers my friend, I have faith that everything will work out for you....

When my mother had breast cancer in 2009, laughter helped, and the doctors think it made things better for her. Grab some Looney Toons, Tom & Jerry, Wood Woodpecker, or other cartoons that make you laugh and keep them handy. You can beat this. Charlie Larkin
