FIREMODELMAN Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Here are a few of my older builds, that I'm not sure I posted on here. If I did my apologies for double posting. 1965 APPROVED rescue truck. Modeled after the rig from the Reading Pa. Fire Dept. 1950 CHEVROLET Fire truck. A basic kit bash between a pick up and the AMT ALF body. I did some body work, molding the roof line into the pumper body, and adding lights into the roof. Next, a 1961 Chevy. Also stared life as a pick up, mated to the ALF body, that was split down the middle, sanded down 1/4 inch, then put back together so it would match up to the pick up cab width. Front fender flares made from Bondo, roof light's molded into body work as well.
Danno Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Nice rigs, Dave. They look great. You were really into those sedan-style bodies and tunnel-lights, eh?
hooknladderno1 Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Dave, Great to see those again! The '65 Approved Rescue was always one of my favorites! David
FIREMODELMAN Posted May 14, 2013 Author Posted May 14, 2013 Thank you very much for the nice comments, glad everyone likes them. I've always had a love for the fire trucks built from the 40's to the 70's. Strange enough though I'm NOT a fire fighter, nor did I really ever want to be. ODD.
