bismarck Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Been wanting to pick one of these re-issues up, but wanted some input from anybody who has built this kit. Any of the usual fit issues with the older molds? ect...

jeffbrad Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Got mine hooked to one of the Revell semi snap Petes. got it weathered up some and have a load of logs I trimmed from my oak tree branches. Came out good, happy with it. Good luck with yours. I'm from Akron by the way. Moved to Fla. last year
The Modeling Hermit Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 The only issue I have with it is the log load. I tossed those pieces of plastic into the parts drawer and went out and got some actual wood for the load.
Q tip Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 picked up a second one. its a great kit, the extra parts they give you for the tractor makes it worth it alone
tbill Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 not too bad, had a few warped parts [tow bar sections--not sure what else to call it], and sanding/filing the inside of the main chassis that the bar goes thru is a must [was for me anyway]. it was my second build and I managed it ok

The "tow bar" is called the Reach, which by the way in this Peerless kit is severely under sized. the correct size for the reach would be 3/8" square. then the receiver tube in the trailer will need to be enlarged to accept the larger reach.
tbill Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 thank you for the kind comment on my build. I was told that the log trailer kit was originally designed to be smaller scale, I wonder if that's why it is like it is?
