  1. Another cool variant would be Dave Koffel's Flintstone Flyer. Iirc it was basically an A990 with a 273. Think it ran c/fx.
  2. Exactly. We run steer types on the drives of our trucks that stay in Fla.
  3. Still have them in St Cloud Fl. Small selection but they do have them
  4. Funny I asked Dave from Moebius the same question last week. no response so far but should be a fairly easy rework of the 65 tooling since they are so similar underneath
  5. Windshield washer solvent. I used it as thinner and it worked great with Tamiya paint.
  6. Can't wait for this one. Thanks For this one Dave. Gonna do several. What about back dating it to a 63 post. Just have to do a new body and maybe interior
  7. Plastikote sandable primer is very good if you can find it. I use the duplicolor paints over it and have never had a problem but it's getting harder and harder to find. Last few cans i got at a Carquest store
  8. Very sad. Bowie and Lemmy within a month. Two total originals. RIP
  9. Didn't the Caddy engines have distributor in the front?
  10. Anyone else notice how much those heads Harry Westlake designed almost 50 yrs ago look a lot like what Ford is running now in Nascar? That kit is unreal, My hat's off to it's creator.
  11. Gonna do a channeled 29 Vegas Rat Rod style. Have a Moebius Hudson engine I'm going to use.
  12. Lots in Florida too. All about the emissions disaster, the new stuff is lousy, i drive one every day. The newer DEF systems are better than the regen systems but they're all junk. One of the hottest segments is gliders with pre emission drivetrains. I guess you can't find a 12.7 Detroit anywhere. I know of at least 2 companies that are building new Coronados with the pre emission 12.7s
  13. Olds version was the DRCE. Warren Johnson did a lot of the development work on it
  14. They always were good looking trucks but they weren't the most pleasant things to live in. Company I worked for ran teams and those guys were miserable.
  15. Not so sure about the new stuff but if you're looking for old school sohc , the Ohio George Willys has a very good supercharged one and the AMT 67 Mustang has a decent carbed one
  16. The Euclid stuff from back then ran Detroits due to the GM ownership. They used the 6 110's in the dozers and scrapers and off road dumps. Not sure about that 8x4. Never seen one but it sure is cool. If it has 2 engines side by side they're probably 671's. They did build a power unit that had 2 of them side by side. P.S. Did some digging and they were available with either Cummins or Detroits although the Detroits were more common after GM bought Euclid in 1953.
  17. What all did Monogram do in 1/8? Weren't there some street rods? I think I remember doing one when I was a kid that had a Pontiac engine. I did one of the IROC's back in the 90's
  18. Whatever you want it to be, they're the same externally.
  19. Well done. Totally agree on the foiling. I did one of the 53's couple yrs ago. Seemed like it took a week to foil it. I put a Ford motor out of the AMT 60 in mine. Still have the Hudson 6 sitting here. Thinking of doing a rat rod with the new 29 and using it in that
  20. Ron Cash, there's a name I haven't heard for a while. Met him back in the early 90's at a shop in Barberton Ohio. Very nice guy and he did killer stuff. Died way too soon. Would be very interesting to see what he'd be up to now 20 years later.
  21. not building it stock but thanks for the info. kind of a bash between the 2 kits. using stock engine but suspension and exhaust from custom. going to use engine from custom in the Revell hydro I'm doing next
