Since everyone appears to want a small mint for the real model, I figured I would build a clone as best as my limited abilities would allow. Started with this kit molded in silver.

Was unable to find spray Championship White paint reasonably priced, so I used Tamiya TS7, Racing White. Probably a little to creamy for the correct color, but It works for me.

Really amazed how well parts fit together compared to Revell and others. Chassis painted and suspension completed along with some more trim painted on body. Finally found a black paint pen which makes life a lot easier to make straight trim lines. Still not perfect, but better than 911 I recently posted under glass.

Hopefully will have it close to finished tomorrow or the next day. Have to clear paint, finish interior, and decide whether to leave stock wheels chrome or paint them body color. As usual, comments welcomed. Thanks for looking.

Tamiya kits are great, aren't they? Is the rear-glass on this model hinged?

I'm currently stripping down and going over the Tamiya Raybrig NSX (that I built when I was...12 or something)...It's cool to spot the similarities and differences between that and a stock model like this.

Yes, rear glass hinges. I have another race version, the Mobil 1 JGTC touring car. Have seen several built as street cars. Eventually, Mine will be built box stock for community build here

Got a little more done. Went with red seats like the R has. They are the stock ones, not a lightweight Recaro type seat. Had issue with gauge decal not releasing from backing, so its screwed up and glue didn't dry clear. Painted wheels body color. Anyhow, one with the pictures.

Looks pretty cool! I always like seeing the NSX driving around or at the local cruise nights we have here. Its a very cool car.

I will call this finished. I see what others have said about windshield fit. Base sits on wiper arm. Thankfully, it has side glass to hold to body. I must say Tamiya kits are the bomb. Not much if any flash, parts fit great, except for headlight buckets, lol. Wheel mounts are too long so if not filed down, they stick out of fenderwells. A few pictures here then off to under glass. Thanks for looking.
