VictorSmalls Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I'm gonna feel stupid at the store buying the Donk Regal, but I will be trying to build a turbo T without a doubt. Great information guys.
Rob Hall Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Looks like some interesting new stuff from Revell coming.. I'm esp. interested in the Shelby Mustangs.
Dave McFly Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 (edited) I'm esp. interested in the Shelby Mustangs. I am defiantly getting the GT500 and the sexy Audi R8 so i can do a model of THIS Tony Stark's car from next years IRON MAN Edited October 20, 2007 by Dave McFly
Rob Hall Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 The R8 will definitely be nice, it was already announced as a RoG issue...I assume this will be a rebox in Revell NA packaging..
James W Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I like the subject matter. My two cents for the bean counters.
VW Dave Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I just ordered Yenko decals from Keith Marks for one of my AMT Novas.....looks like I'ma hold onto them decals for a little while now. The new GT500 and Black Widow kits are a breath of fresh air as well, and I can only hope they measure up to the '69 Camaro and Merc kits.
Dave McFly Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 The new GT500 and Black Widow kits are a breath of fresh air as well, and I can only hope they measure up to the '69 Camaro and Merc kits. i hope the GT500 and the GT-H are based on the excellent 2006 mustang tooling. Dave, have you ever used Keith's decals before? I am planning on getting a set of black stripes for the AMT 2006 Camaro kit to make it into a Bumblebee .
RJWood Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 I should end up with most all of them by this time next year. I LOVE THIS STUFF. I don't build to enter contests. I build for myself, its not extreamly inportant that everything be accurate to a T. My friends and family don't carry micrometers with them, so they would never know that the rear window is off by .002 of an inch. or the wheel wells are too rounded. or whatever. I'm just happy that we still have companys producing car kits. It might not be so good 5 to 10 years from now. just my 2 cents. Ron
Tom Kren Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Caint wait and also the 32 sedan is comming out NEW TOOL there goes the wallet!
VW Dave Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 i hope the GT500 and the GT-H are based on the excellent 2006 mustang tooling. Dave, have you ever used Keith's decals before? It would just figure that the GT500 was gonna come out in kit form; I just got past the 'point of no return' modifying the Mustang kit into my neighbors' '07 ragtop GT500. I have yet to use Keith's decals, but I'm getting a few sets for upcoming projects so I'm sure I will soon.
Dave McFly Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 I just realized that that GT-H car has the same rims as the 'base' GT coupe and are an option on the base V6 cars. I may just use the rims/tires from that kit on my bullitt project. i do not mind holding back on that project as i have others that can take it's place while i am waiting on the GT-H kit .
Dragon7665 Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 Anyone know when the 69 Nova and 87 Donk Cutlass will be available yet??? My best guess would be that the Cutlass will be just in time for Christmas 2000 & Never..... (Fingers Crossed Though!! )
bigphoto Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 I am excited to see the Shelby's coming out hopefuly the GT 500 will come as a 2-n-1 kit to do the GT 500KR the 57 chevy is interesting as well as the 68 Mustang GT I would like to see the 57 Chevy post with Bel-Air trim to do the Hot Rod mag Project X car as a friend got to have the car for a summer back in the day he has pics of it in his garage and I also remember seeing it on the streets Grand Rapids Michigan in 83 or 84, way cool!!
Bluzboy66 Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 ..... I have yet to use Keith's decals, but I'm getting a few sets for upcoming projects so I'm sure I will soon..... I have been using Keith's decals for years. They are awesome. You won't be disappointed. Mike
