weird cabover that looks to be ford

This is a Ford from the 60's that has had a section put in the middle to make into a cabover. It even has the grill from the pickup .

This unit was for sale on ebay recently , i bid on it but didnt win i cant remember how much it went for but it was rough . The chassis and other bits were scratch built.

Fascinating. That appears to me to be a '60s vintage one-off custom that was probably inspired by the much more famous Bob Nordberg 1964 Revell-Pactra contest winner. Phil Gladstone at the International Model Car Builders' Museum allowed me to take the photo below from the Dec 1964 Car Model Magazine which showed more than one photo of it. Prior to that, all I'd ever seen of Nordberg's model was a side view of it in a 1964 Rod & Custom Models magazine.

The 1:1 had windows at floor level to see right in front of the bumper.

This is a blast from the past. I vaguely remember this model from a picture many decades ago . I am so happy to see some sources showing it again. I so want to build a replica of this model as it is so unique.

It's an AMT 1960 Ford F100 cab section sitting on the top of the front clip of an AMT 1961 Ford F100.
