mackd Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Hi,I think your frame is too short, the trailer will be too much close to the cab, then I find that you will not have to put spring back of years 70.You should change nose gear weels ,they are not time. These observations are constructivent. Alain
jacobus Posted July 17, 2013 Author Posted July 17, 2013 after lookin at a lot of picturers [ only black and white ] and from a distance you can see that the trailer very narrow to the cab is also a short chassis six spoke wheels whit a baby moon cover the one i see in color was from akron [ red ] but also from a distance if you got a picture from a autocar very close i wil see him from that time is not much material in books ore good and clean picture,s jacobus
mackd Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 after lookin at a lot of picturers [ only black and white ] and from a distance you can see that the trailer very narrow to the cab is also a short chassis six spoke wheels whit a baby moon cover the one i see in color was from akron [ red ] but also from a distance if you got a picture from a autocar very close i wil see him from that time is not much material in books ore good and clean picture,s jacobus I have pictures of the trucks six weels its did not change 40.50.60. are you what want some?A friend of France had the same problem that you. Old Buckaroo Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Nice work and Great truck to build up. I have a soft spot for these old trucks. Jesse is still way to clean !
Old Nasty Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Nice looking tractor. I love these old trucks. They look like they were made to do the job.
lapazleo Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Looks good the short wheelbase is actually typical back then as most trailers had round noses.
Dodge BigHorn Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Love this. I think the orange with black looks excellent. Short frame is probably right for the era as the trailers of that time had round nose.
