  1. Love this. I think the orange with black looks excellent. Short frame is probably right for the era as the trailers of that time had round nose.
  2. Thanks guys. This is a work on it for a bit then set it back in the box when I get mad at it type of project. Eventually it will get finished.
  3. Well I got my camera back but can't seem to get my files to load. Gonna try something here and see if it works.
  4. That truck looks AMAZING!! My neighbor had one of these when I was a kid, ugly yellow paint, with the yellow slant six,4 speed, 4X4 with a stepside bed. He passed away and the kids sold the farm. Truck is still sittng behind the house rusting away. I'm hoping to buy it off the new owners.
  5. Dan, I think I'm going to leave the quads in as they give it a different look. Kinda reminds me of the 79 Newport my parents had when I was a kid. I'd love to see some pics of your Bighorn. I've got to figure out a color for the frame and running gears.
  6. Well, I'm back at it again, repainted the cab in black. Not really happy with it though. Still going to use the headache rack but not the winch. Installed a Cummins NTD 350 I scored unbuilt off Evilbay awhile back. As soon as my camera shows up fom being MIA, I'll get some pics up of the progress
  7. Thanks Ray, I went over and checked it out. That's on my list when I get back to work.
  8. Check AITM... those aggressive tires look like something Dave casts. I love the amazing detail work you've done to this truck. One Question though, where did the cab come from?
  9. Scania sold a few trucks here in the U.S. As to numbers, I couldn't tell you.During my high school years I used to help my dad and his friend on the weekends. They used a cabover Scania log truck, wasn't anything fancy but it got the job done. They used it for everything from moving equipment to pulling out other stuck trucks. I haven't seen the old girl in several years,so if it's still running???? I don't know.
  10. Looks like you're off to a good start. Nice to see somemore Pennsylvania guys on here. Dave's Kits are pretty nice. I have the Reo Raider setting on the shelf waiting to be built.
  11. I have 2 different sets. The ones on the BigHorn are soft resin and the other set is standard resin. I used parts box wheels so, I'm not sure what scale the soft resin ones are. The hard resin set is getting Italeri wheels so, I'm almost positive that they are 1/24 scale.
  12. Check out AITM. Dave makes some really excellent resin parts. Check EvilBay also, I bought some from eBay user Bergens10 and they are really nice. Check out my BigHorn build, the rears are from him.
  13. I love these trucks. I'm looking for the Corgi Scammel Explorer. I'm thinking about scratchbuilding one in 1/25 scale. Excellent work you're doing with these small scale trucks.
  14. I get buidler's interruptus all the time!!! It's called the Wife!!!! I've got 3 trucks that need finished right now, a K100 aerodyne, Dodge BigHorn, and a W900. Plus a Paystar 5000 in the parts box that I need to find another kit to finish.
  15. Love the sound of those old Detroits when there wound up. Got a sound all to there own.
  16. Frontier Resin's stuff is really nice. I have thier 1939 Ford COE.
  17. Finally got the hood to fit correctly or as close to correct as it's going to be. I changed the exhaust, the kit pieces looked cheesy. Broke a mirror bracket trying to get it to line up. Get the mirrors on and add lights and I'm calling this done.
  18. It was sitting cocked up back at the cowl. Wasn't closing completely. I think i got it adjusted to where it fits decently close.
  19. I think if i change the air cleaner and shave the hinges a little bit, the hood will fit correctly. I've got some spare air cleaners in my goodies.
  20. I like the green also. What I don't like is the hood doesn't fit for ######. It's all monkeyed up around the cowl and doesn't close completely. I'm mad enough at it to pitch the hood and and cab and use the frame for my Reo Raider. I'll mess with it a bit later and hopefully it's something simple and will fit correctly afterwards.
  21. Got the interior finished up. Very simple and utility minded.
  22. I've had this one up on the shelf for awhile. The Bighorn and I were not seeing eye to eye so, it got put in project purgatory for a bit. It's nothing fancy but I'm liking the way it builds up.
