  1. I'd lower both front and rear. That's just my opinion.
  2. Thank you, Anthony. I was wondering what engine that was.
  3. Nice K100. I've got the K100 Aerodyne in pieces sitting here. What engine does yours have?
  4. Mine has an International V8 turbodiesel. Not sure what model engine it is.
  5. Kinda torked off right now. Painted the cab and hood the other night and the paint orange peeled horribly. Even ate the primer off in places. I don't know if the paint was bad or if I didn't prep the the resin right. On a good note, I got some mounts made up for the cab to sit on.
  6. Those are just pretty cool. I don't know of any seven year old boy who wouldn't love those.
  7. Well, I've gotten some more goodies mocked up on the frame. I think it looks pretty good. Mocking the cab and hood into place now. The castings are so thick that I'm not sure I want to try to hinge the hood. Any ideas on how to pull it off would be greatly appreciated.
  8. I'm kind of at a stand still with it right at the moment. I lost my hobby saw somewhere and I need it to clean up some of the new parts. Have to look for it here in a bit, have to take the monster to school. Dave I'll pm you my email.
  9. Yashu: That wrecker looks cool. I'd like to see more of it.I've got a long way to go before this one is done.
  10. Got it in primer and set the Cummins in place.
  11. Got some goodies from AITM. Hopefully I'll get somewhere with it.
  12. Scamell Explorer Model B Mack Dodge Bighorn, L700 Marmon Any Pre 80 Coe
  13. I have this kit also and the Bussing 8000 S13. I can't wait to see your build up so I know what to expect.
  14. I used to run a small core rig with the 3-53DD. At low end it just made a lot of racket and had no power. Wind it up to the rev limiter and it had all kinds of power. Our other rig was 2 miles away and the guys on it could hear it barking over their Duetz turbo. The service rig I have now has a turned up 6-71 on it and we've tried killing it with 100,000 lb string of tools and it won't die. Got to wear ear plugs because the cheapo company won't buy me a muffler for it!
  15. Very nice looking. I've got one of these in my unbuilts. Looking forward to seeing more of this build.
  16. Very very nice. Blue with loads of chrome, Awesome!! Got to ask, what is the gold cabover I see in the background?
  17. I thought it would be a wild combo. I saw a Pete done up like this a few years back at a dealer in Missouri. I thought it would look different on this truck.
  18. Started this as a time killer while the BigHorn waits for parts. Did some painting yesterday while the weather was nice.
  19. I actually wanted to run 6 spoke wheels on the front but I don't have any and can't seem to find them either. I cast the front wheels and one of the rear wheels out of resin. They turned out pretty good for being a newbie at casting. This is gonna be a long project.
  20. This is where I'm at with it right now.
  21. I'm using an old Revell Kenworth Frame. I'm not going for the stock look. The frame has airride and is considerably longer than the Diamond Reo frame. That and I don't want to chop up my Reo, It's still sealed in the box yet. With this frame the fuel tanks are not under the cab. I was thinking about an air dryer and a battery box with steps built into them for under the doors. If I can Find them, I'd like to put full fenders over the rear tires. I have a headache rack and a 100,000lb Tulsa winch I'd like to install on this build and make it an oilfield truck as some of the info I found show there were 18 of them used for the rigs. Just some thoughts I'm tossing around right now.
  22. It's a seperate hood. Casting is VERY thick. I'm in the process of gathering parts. I'm resin casting my own rear wheels for it, but I don't have any wheels to duplicate the fronts. Couldn't find anything on EvilBay either. Just have to keep hunting.
  23. Thank you for that info. That means I can put an NTD-350 in it and it will be alright. This is going to take a lot of patience to build.
  24. I've got 2 sleepers here that I'm not going to use. One is from a Revell Kenworth and The other is from an AMT Kenworth. You're welcome to either one if you like.
