martinfan5 Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 (edited) Aoshima has released the with engine 86/BRZ twins, and with that they have tooled up a 19 piece engine parts tree, with that, 11 piece's are for the engine, and the rest are for the engine compartment, everything else about the kit is the same, you still get your choice if LHD/RHD, and 86/FR-S decals for the 86 kit, same goes for the BRZ kit minus the 86/FR-S decals. And the box art has been changed as well. And, it appears that Aoshima will be selling the engine parts tree by its self, so if you are like me, and a few of the first run kits, this is great news, but that announcement has not been made official that I am aware of this moment Pics of box art borrowed from HLJ Edited July 17, 2013 by martinfan5
Scuderia Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Nice looking tree! lots of opportunity for detail painting. Nice of them as well to offer the engine and compartment pieces separate also.

I agree, I cant wait to get started on one, well the official announcement has not been made, but reading some of what Aoshima has posted on their FaceBook, and reply's to questions that have been asked, they have hinted that its going to happen, just when, who knows
Bennyg Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Cool. I hope they release the engine separate as well. I got the aoshima brz with engine to replicate my car. Would like to get the sti version as well. Ben
johnbuzzed Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 I wonder if the manufacturer realizes what "86" means in American English slang... But the engine kit would be cool. I know some of the big 3 domestic kit manufacturers had parts paks, etc, available with engines, but none have engines vintage early '70's and newer.
