Here is my first model-- A 54 ish corvette. You can definitely tell that it's a first (it wasnt supposed to look like a gasser in the first pic). hardly painted it, hood doesnt really hinge, it has zero lights, and no windshield frame.post-12141-0-41856300-1374079397_thumb.jpost-12141-0-67723800-1374079419_thumb.jpost-12141-0-26072700-1374079436_thumb.jpost-12141-0-22644000-1374079452_thumb.jpost-12141-0-93519600-1374079467_thumb.j

And my most recent completion, a revell 32 ford sedan. you can see one of the four link bars that just came off a minute ago. I completed this one a week or two ago.post-12141-0-94738300-1374079850_thumb.jpost-12141-0-36824200-1374079867_thumb.jpost-12141-0-22740300-1374079883_thumb.jpost-12141-0-83597000-1374079898_thumb.j

It was originally going to be gloss black, but the paint ran so i turned it into a (sort of) rat rod. Notice the shave door handles, hinges, and lack of mirrors.

Definitely the ford looks better and keep going! My first model kit was a Morries Mini and .... Anyway yours look better than my Morries

Thanks! I was like ten when I built the old corvette, but i did build it with some of my fathers guidance (he did some building when he was in middle school)

We all started somewhere. I'm glad you have the courage to post up your first builds because I know I wouldn't be brave enough to post mine :) You can definitely see improvements from the first to the second. Just keep building and you will learn what works best for you. Welcome to the addictive world of plastic. You're in the right place if you've ever got any questions.

Thanks guys! I have always been a sort of mini Chipp Foose, shaving mirrors and door handles and stuff. Since I'm not at the 1:1 level just yet I decided to compensate with models

You were only ten back then? That's definitely great enough!

You're doing well Parker. Keep plugging away and each build will get better as you learn new tricks and tips. I'm still learning with each build and I'm 50, lol.
