My first car was a 75 Gremlin, Faun (tan) in color with these hubcaps, about as ugly as they get! LOL I want to build a model of it but I don't remember ever seeing these stock wheels or hub caps anywhere? Even just the hub caps would work as I think the steel wheels were just Mopar, four slot reverse wheels?imagesCA8MALYA_zps4cf9e494.jpgtop-5-scariest-looking-cars-amc-gremlin_

I wanted to do the same thing. I did it with my Hornet. However, I can be of no help because I have no idea what kit the dog dishes came out of. I had them in my parts box. I used regular steel wheels, and blackwashed the line in the caps. They are a bit "flatter" than the AMC caps and they don't say American Motors on them. But they are convincing, due to the black accent line.

Looks good! I think those hubcaps come in the AMT 1970 Ford police car?kits%252073%2520hornet%25203.JPG

Cone with a depression in the center... Maybe take the full wheel covers from the '53 Studebaker kit and cut them down to dog dish size, then remove the three little ribs, paint them aluminum silver and add the black ring. Good luck with that lettering, though.
