bandit1 Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 (edited) Update on my "What if" project!...Its the snap pete kit and im pondering on whether to bmf the strip going down the hood or not and a few other "Dress Up" ideas but we will see! Edited July 21, 2013 by bandit1
Jim B Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 I think using BMF on the hood strip, door trim, & windshield trim would be a good idea. Are you going to put the Confederate Battle Flag on the roof & the "01" on the doors?

Are you going to put the Confederate Battle Flag on the roof & the "01" on the doors? I am not sure if there is enough room on the roof for the confederate flag? I was planning on it being on the back of the sleeper! The "01" im not sure will fit on the door but im going to try ...and "General Lee" will be put on the hood being lettering is to big for the side of the roof...
Jim B Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Worth a try. Don't forget the horn that plays "Dixie"! Are you using the decals from the 1/25 or 1/16 car?
bandit1 Posted July 21, 2013 Author Posted July 21, 2013 Worth a try. Don't forget the horn that plays "Dixie"! Are you using the decals from the 1/25 or 1/16 car? 25th scale! Dont want to forget the horns...maybe i can find an extra set somewhere?...i dont have any extras i do know...
Jim B Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 So the 1/25 scale "General Lee" comes with the Flag on the decal sheet? I saw the model on the shelf at a LHS, but the Flag wasn't on the box art. Not "PC", I guess.

Jim B Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Cool. Yes, I agree with you. I don't think the Confederate Navy Jack (I misspoke in my earlier post) will fit on top of the sleeper. Best to put it on the back. I think the "01" will be too big for the doors like you said.
redneckrodder Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 if they don't fit try to cut emm down or hand letter it then build an enclosed car trailer with several general lees inside and mural the outside to where the generals jumping the brook
bandit1 Posted July 29, 2013 Author Posted July 29, 2013 if they don't fit try to cut emm down or hand letter it then build an enclosed car trailer with several general lees inside and mural the outside to where the generals jumping the brook Nice thinking but im not doing that! Ive got a rvg car hauler im putting on the back with a bunch of other Dukes Of Hazzard cars such as daisy's jeep, trying to locate something for jesses p/u, modern GL and a rosco patrol car and may try to fit enos's to? just got today new tires for General Pete and will work on it here in a bit...

vintagedragcrazy Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 That looks pretty cool I did something in the same line of what if and did a 1/16th Hawaiian funnycar as a dukes of hazard car even though it's a 72 charger but hey it's what if right I love your idea!!!vince
gatorincebu Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Cool idea for a off da wall build . I think you will figure out a way to use all the decals or smaller versions on this model. Be Well Gator
kilrathy10 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I do like that orange, Man.....It's the frame painted the same color that gets me....Man, that's a nice piece of work....I think I now know what I'm going to do with MY California Hauler.....
bandit1 Posted February 1, 2016 Author Posted February 1, 2016 Dang flash "Flashed" out my Peterbilt logo... Better shot of the grill prior to installation-
bandit1 Posted February 19, 2016 Author Posted February 19, 2016 Glass installed, firewall area of interior tub painted to match and some odd and ends... Didn't like the YELLOW that the engine was painted contrasting to the orange of the truck so I ripped it out carefully and will repaint it either Pete white or CAT Yellow?...
bandit1 Posted February 22, 2016 Author Posted February 22, 2016 That's much better. Battery boxes have some issues... the fuel tanks are the same way but not noticeable... not sure which way I will fix that yet...
